MARGAUX was a 2006 FINALIST in ABIA!
On Tuesday the 16th of May, the Queensland wedding industry congregated at the Royal on the Park Hotel to honour suppliers of wedding product and services at Queensland’s 8th Australian Bridal Industry Academy Awards - the ABIA's.
The ABIA’s were awarded based on the opinions of 798 newlyweds who nominated 1580 wedding suppliers to compete for the top award for best Queensland wedding supplier. All 35 wedding categories were hotly contested by 281 category finalists who made it through to the pronouncement of the 2006 ABIA Winners.

The opening address was given by the Chairman of the ABIA, Mr. John O'Meara who congratulated all the attendees on their achievement. Mr. O'Meara said that the ABIA Finalists should be extremely proud of their achievement as it was the opinion of their past customers who determined their eligibility for an ABIA.
Mr. O'Meara said that the wedding industry is predominately serviced by small business who are ideally suited to the provision of a "one on one" personal service and have the experience and expertise to understand the individual needs of each of the brides. It was this experience and expertise which culminated in their nomination as Finalists and Winners of an ABIA Award for wedding excellence.

Mr. O' Meara went on to say that the quality of products and services provided by the Finalist continued to excel each year with most Finalist receiving a rating in excess of 95%. He also added, that due to the nature of the industry, achieving such ratings was highly commendable as a wedding supplier has but one day to "get it right", - there are no second chances.

Winning an ABIA is the highest nationally recognized honour a wedding supplier can attain in Australia.
ABIA nominees are evaluated by past brides on the quality of their product and service, the perceived value for money and most importantly the attitude of staff in assisting the bride to experience that one off perfect day. The ABIA distributes over 60,000 nominations forms each year to the wedding suppliers of Australia who in turn send them to their past brides and grooms requesting them appraise their contribution to their perfect day.

The ABIA's are awarded each year in the four states of NSW, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria. All of the Finalist and Winners of Queensland’s 8th Australian Bridal Industry Academy Awards can be viewed on the industry web site www.abia.com.au
